Programs:
Emergency Food Lockers provide more than 4.3 million pounds of take-home groceries each year, and serve 15,000 monthly
The Mobile Food Program distributes groceries in a free market-type setting to over 1,500 people monthly
The Sunday Lunch Program provides more than 40,000 prepared lunches yearly to families in need
The Clothes Closet Program distributes more than 7,000 items of free clothing to children and adults each week, totaling more than 400,000 articles of clothing to over 20,000 people yearly
Two Mother-Baby Programs assist more than 500 parents with mentoring, baby clothing, formula, diapers and parenting workshops each month
The Women’s Wisdom Project promotes the healing of emotional and mental illness through artistic expression to more than 100 women each year
Two Child Services Centers, serving more than 300 children and their families annually, provide after-school programs and play care for parents who participate in SFBFS’ various educational programs
The Intel Computer Clubhouse gives more than 25 at-risk and low-income youth the opportunity to learn the use of sophisticated computer systems and software for creative expression
The Havens Transitional Living Program promotes stability and economic independence for seven homeless families with children each year
Two Adult Community Learning Centers provide adult tutoring, basic education, literacy, GED preparation, English as a Second Language and computer skills to hundreds of adults annually
