An Elk Grove man has been accused of being the second person responsible in a deadly shooting at a Sikh Society sport tournament, officials said.

Amandeep Singh Dhami, 24, and Gurpreet Singh Gosal, 24, are accused of shooting to death Parmjit Pamma Singh and a 38-year-old man who were watching a basketball game outside of the Sikh Temple on Sunday.

Gosal is currently in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail.

Dhami and Gosal allegedly arrived at the temple and intentionally targeted Singh in the shooting, Sacramento County deputies said.

A warrant has been issued for Dhami’s arrest on the charge of murder.

Dhami is East Indian, stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes, officials said.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators said they think the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute and was not a hate crime.

If you have any information on this crime, you can call the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-5115, or Crime Alert at 916-443-HELP.
