One man has been arrested and sheriff's officials are still looking for a second man in connection with a deadly shooting at the Sikh Temple on Sunday, Sgt. Tim Curran said in a news release.

Gurpreet Singh Gosal, 24, who is from Indianapolis, was booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on Monday and has been charged with the murder of Parmjit Pamma Singh.

Gosal, and a second man in his 20s who fled the scene, are accused of opening fire on Singh and a 38-year-old man as they were watching a sports tournament at the Sikh Society Sports Complex, officials said.

Elk Grove resident Amandeep Singh Dhami, 24, is wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting, officials said.

Investigators said they think the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute and was not a hate crime.

If you have any information on this crime, you can call the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-5115, or Crime Alert at 916-443-HELP.
